The TCP Cup is carnival that brings together great characters from all walks of life. There's a white collar set, blue collar boys and a number of punters who wear dog collars put there by their wives and girlfriends who only let them out once a year for this great event. The fierce competition, over-hydration and smoke haze brings the best out of the team leading to some famous quotes that will be recognised in this column.
Rich River 2008 When told that he had been drawn to play with Buddha and Sir Les on the Saturday morning, The Bandit suggested: "Oh Great! I am playing golf with Cheech and Chong" There was reported to be smoke haze around the 10th tee when Buddha, Sir Les and The Bandit turned for the run home. It is alleged that these three wise men were seen smoking drum mixed with herbs and spices that the Colonel does not use on his famous Kentucky Fried Chicken. The Bandit obviously enjoyed his lunch tearing up the back nine for 73 off the stick. Cheech and Chong just floated along for the ride shooting nett 71 and 74 respectively.
