The TCP Cup brings together some of the greatest golfers in the history of the great game. Very few of them can play but most of them know how to enjoy themselves and kick their heels up on that one weekend each year. Country towns such as Yarrawonga, Swan Hill, Horsham, Cobram, Echuca, Barwon Heads and Bridport Tasmania have never been the same since the TCP Cup circus came to town.
2 February 2008 - On the Saturday afternoon at Rich River the boys had a few quiet ones while Maxy decided to have a mid afternoon nap.

TCP Cup Eleven returned to Murray Downs for the third time. As usual the course was presented in magnificent condition; it is the best presented course on the Murray River by a long way. An excellent turn up of 25 punters allowed the committee to run a two grade event with 18 punters in the main draw and 7 punters in Division 2.
The good judges suggested that it would be a low markers tournament as the course has a number of challenging holes and big greens that require proficient use of the flat stick. Previous winners here were the heavyweight low markers Shirley and The Bandit and Slick has two second places here.
The Bookmaker (Shirley) was back after doing the business the previous year and offered some lucrative odds that a number of the punters gleefully jumped all over. Like all great bookmakers Shirley threw the form guide and probability out the window and stood to lose big dollars on a number of the punters who he thought could not win.
